Job Title: Assistant Director of Selections & Design>/p>

Start Date: May / June 2017

Hours: Full-time, Mon – Fri, approximately 40 hours per week

Salary & Benefits: $17.50/hr starting. 2 weeks paid vacation+ 6 additional paid days off + 6 paid holidays. Optional health care plans

Description and Qualifications: Join Bloomington’s most respected and established local Property Management & Development Company. Our company is in a growth cycle and we are looking to hire a talented, career-oriented Assistant Director of Selections & Design. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is interested in and has a knack for branding & interior design. We are looking for an outgoing, creative self-starter. We want someone who can “get things done,” has excellent oral & written communication skills, is very organized and detail oriented.

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities

  • Select brand-appropriate interior & exterior building products & finishes for our new construction and for our existing apartment homes that are being renovated or updated (IE. appliances, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, windows, doors, flooring, paint colors, etc)
  • Research & purchase the building products & finishes on our behalf
  • Schedule, Organize & Coordinate delivery of products to various job-sites, communities & apartment homes.
  • Help select and build relationships with preferred vendors
  • Develop efficient, repeatable & scalable procedures & workflows for managing the entire “selections” process.

Job Title: Full-time Maintenance Technician
Start Date: May 2017
Hours: 40 hrs/wk, Mon-Fri, limited overtime & after hours work
Wages: $13.50/hr start

Job Description: We believe you will enjoy and succeed as a Renaissance Maintenance Technician if you are positive, friendly, hardworking and enjoy working with your hands and solving maintenance issues. We can’t underscore how important a positive attitude is for being successful in this role.

Your top priority is to maintain and improve the condition of our apartments homes. What does that mean specifically? You are responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to our residents
  • Assessing and repairing resident maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Hiring, scheduling & managing subcontractors for specialized work such as skilled plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, etc
  • Scheduling & managing maintenance & subcontractor work required to turnover apartments after residents move-out
  • Purchasing supplies from our preferred vendors to complete repairs
  • Communicating with your leasing manager daily about progress of work in resident apartments
  • Reporting potential lease violations and property condition issues to leasing manager
  • Picking up trash and litter
  • Finding opportunities to improve the apartment homes- working with leasing manager, subcontractors and other maintenance techs to implement these improvements
  • Sharing after hours on-call responsibilities with the rest of the full-time maintenance team

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and friendly
  • Enjoy maintenance work and a job well done
  • Past experience in maintenance and/or home repair preferred
  • Past experience working with customers
  • Job requires carrying heavy items, 50+ pounds and walking up and down stairs / ladders several times each day
  • Have a reliable vehicle, preferably a truck
  • Some limited computer / smartphone skills & knowledge. We use email, texting and an online work order system
  • No criminal history
